Since 1988, Vons Steak House & Oyster Bar has been serving Edmontonians the highest quality of beef and fish. The rustic building located in the trendy Old Strathcona entertainment district was built in the 1930's and features original exposed brickwork and once housed the Canada Dry bottling plant.
Vons serves Sterling Silver Beef which is the top tier of AAA Alberta beef produced. Vons also takes pride in using local suppliers and serving wild fish and seafood. The chefs at Vons hand cut the beef which has been aged a minimum of 21 days ensuring maximum flavour and tenderness. This dedication to quality has earned Vons several honours, including best Steaks and best Steakhouse in Edmonton. Vons is especially renowned for its Prime Rib which is slow cooked a minimum of 16 hours at low heat and crusted with savoury spices. The restaurant now has four distinct areas including an oyster bar featuring only the finest in fresh oysters shucked to order.
